Green Dragon Kratom Review: A Better Version of Green Malay?

green dragon kratom

When thinking of Green Dragon Kratom, you might be thinking of strength and power. Well, close to how I’d describe this often overlooked kratom strain. In this Green Dragon Kratom review, I’ll be guiding you through all of the effects, dosages, and how it compares to the Bali kratom strains.

Green Dragon Kratom is a fusion of two different kratom strains and thought to be a more potent version of the popular Green Malay Kratom. It’s strong effects can range from an increase of energy and concentration to mild and moderate pain relief from chronic pain.

Let’s dive into the den of the mysterious strain that is Green Dragon Kratom.

What Exactly is Green Dragon Kratom?

Green dragon kratom is a green strain. What are green strains? Well, they’re typically a blend of red and white kratom strains. In this case, white and red dragon.

But, Green Dragon Kratom is usually a mixture of two powerful strains: Green Maeng Da and Green Elephant.

Kratom producers and enthusiasts have a special craft of knowing which strains to mix together in order to get amazing benefits. You can think of them as coffee baristas, just way better.

These people know how to come up with amazing new formulations to give kratom lovers new varieties to choose from.

If you know about Green Maeng Da, then you know this is a good strain to try. Green Maeng Da is one of the most popular kratom strains of all time and you’ve probably already tried it. I really enjoy this strain and always find myself going back to it.

Green Elephant is a less potent strain, but has a good balance to it. It’s known to carry tons of alkaloids, such as mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine, because of the large size of the leaf.

Although less popular, it gives a nice balance and it’s too stimulating.

Combining the two, Green Dragon Kratom is potent and a lot more stimulating when often compared to the popular Green Malay Kratom.

You Might Experience These Effects

Since Green dragon kratom effects are more stimulating, you bet it’s going to be a hardworking daytime and morning strain.

I wouldn’t recommend, though, if you’re looking for a kratom strain that will help with sleep. This one is not very sedating, but it still has some relaxing effects.

Here’s what you can expect to experience with Green Dragon Kratom:

  1. Enhanced Energy

It’s definitely an energy booster. Since it’s a mixture of a white strain, it has some stimulation and can keep you wakeful.

If you’re looking into energizing strains, green and white strains are really nice if you’re looking to be productive and get things done.

Personally, I find this strain to have a good amount of energy, without the jitteriness that some white strains provide.

  1. Muscle Tension Relaxer

If you work from home or have a job that requires you to sit for long periods of time, you might get tension or knotts in your muscles. I get this all the time from sitting at my desk for several hours.

Believe it or not this tension can spread throughout the whole body and you’ll just feel like something isn’t right.

Thankfully, kratom helps relax my muscle rigidity. Trust me, your body will thank you and you’ll feel more relaxed by the time it kicks in.

  1. Uplifts Mood

When you’re having a bad day, or multiple bad days, it can really affect your sociability and mood.

The cool thing about kratom, especially green and white strains, is that it actually helps uplift your mood. I know for a fact it’s helped me a lot with my anxiety and when I feel down.

A lot of it has to do with the fact that it activates the same receptors that opioids attach to. You get that happy feeling and you’ll want to chat the day away with your friends or colleagues.

  1. Clears Mental Fog

When I took Green Dragon Kratom, I was in the zone. My level of concentration was pretty high and I felt so much more focused.

That’s the beauty of more energizing kratom strains. The nootropic properties allow you to have enhanced cognitive abilities.

It’s almost like it clears that mental fog we can sometimes get from having so much on our minds or just not feeling well-rested.

You’ll be able to get your work done efficiently with this one.

  1. Mild to Moderate Analgesic Properties

Since green strains are mixed from red strain, it can bring you some pain relief that kratom is often used for.

To me, Green Dragon kratom is good for mild pain, such as muscle aches, cramps, and some chronic pain.

I’ve also noticed it helps for muscle aches and tension from not moving much or from an intense workout at the gym.

However, if you’re looking for stronger pain relief, you’d benefit a lot more from a red strain, such as Red Bali and Red Maeng Da.

How much Green Dragon Kratom should I take?

Since Green Dragon Kratom is a more potent green strain, I’d recommend staying within the dosage range of 2-6 grams.

You can take a little more than 6 grams if your tolerance is higher. However, I’ve heard plenty of times that higher doses can make you feel really sleepy. Taking more than 8 grams probably won’t give you the best effects, so I wouldn’t go there.

If you’re new to kratom or new to Green Dragon Kratom strain, you can start off at 1.5-2 grams. If you feel nothing after about 30-40 minutes, increase by 0.5 grams the next day or take the same amount plus half a gram later on the same day.

Side Effects

Too much of anything can be, well, not so great. You know when you eat too much of your sweet  and creamy chocolate candy and then your stomach ends up hurting? Yeah, that perfect moment gets ruined.

The same goes for kratom when you take more than you should for your tolerance level. Although there aren’t really any harmful long term or short term side effects, you can still experience unwanted effects if you take a much larger amount than you’re used to taking.

I’ve been there. Let me tell you, it ruined my kratom experience for the day and I did not feel good. I had jitters and a nauseous stomach half an hour later.  You can definitely avoid the side effects if you increase slowly each day until you reach your sweet spot.

Here are some of the short-term side effects you might experience with Green Dragon Kratom:

  • Jitteriness
  • Drowsiness
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Headache
  • Diarrhea
  • Increased Anxiety

Thoughts from Reddit Users

If you look up Green Dragon kratom on reddit, you’ll find that very few reviews and experiences on it. Regardless, they seem to be pretty positive and all have similar experiences.

Here’s what some of the Redditers had to say about Green Dragon Kratom:

I forget what the blend consists of but it gives me a great mood lift, kills my anxiety, and gives me energy but not necessarily speedy like a white.” – KerouacStax

“…It is one of my all time favorites for energy and mood lift.” -Catmom2004

“ green md + elephant, pretty good green mix… long legs.” – Almaytan

A good reminder that not everyone is going to have the exact same effects.

Some people have mentioned to me that they don’t feel much from it. It could be that their tolerance is high or it could just really depend on the vendor’s batch.

It’s why I always suggest trying out a strain more than once if you have the money.

Green Dragon Kratom Vs Bali Kratom

So, how does Green Dragon kratom compare to Bali kratom? Well, it depends on what you’re looking to achieve.

Bali strains are great for pain and relaxation. They offer a mild energy boost, but people love it because it has really good pain relieving effects and some people get euphoria out of it.

It’s possible that Green Dragon kratom will give you euphoric effects as well at the right dosage amounts.
