Green Malay is one of the most popular kratom strains on the market and can provide a wide range of benefits. In this article I’ll explain, via research AND personal experience, wether Green Malay is an ideal strain to mitigate the symptoms of depression or wether you’re better off saving your money.
Due to it’s mood boosting properties, Green Malay is an effective kratom strain for treating depression. The depression relief can last anywhere from 3-5 hours. Additionally, you’ll want to stick to a low dosage to obtain its uplifting (euphoric) effects.
However, one really important factor to keep in mind is the effectiveness of Green Malay heavily relies on the size of the dosage and the method of ingestion.
Using Green Malay for Depression…Effectively
The effectiveness of Green Malay for treating depression can be attributed to its high alkaloid content. It’s because of this extreme potency and euphoric effects that make this strain incredibly popular.
A quick Google search can lead you to Reddit users vouching for this Green Malay and the benefits it provides.
In order to obtain these positive, motivated, and focused benefits, you have to make sure you’re consuming the proper amount of Green Malay that is best suited to your weight and tolerance.
Take too much kratom of any kind and you’ll either find yourself experiencing intense drowsiness or worst case scenario a nauseous headache. Luckily, a new user doesn’t need to ingest the same amount of kratom as an avid user because they’re tolerance is still very low.
You don’t know how your body will react and it’s possible you may experience the negative symptoms mentioned above. Instead, work your way up.
If you have been using other kratom strains I would still recommend sticking to the dosages on the table solely because Green Malay is one of the most potent strains available. If you don’t feel the desired effects, follow the daily increase as mentioned above.
How to Take Green Malay: Not all Methods are Created Equal
There are various ways to consume kratom. However, some forms of ingestion allow for stronger euphoric effects because of the time it takes your digestive system to break down the kratom.
The reason why I’m emphasizing the euphoria so much is because (when you’re depressed) it feels like instant relief. It’s my favorite kratom effect and primary reason for using it.
It feels like a huge weight is taken off your shoulders. The best way I can describe it is like an intense surge of optimism. But what if you don’t experience a euphoria? Not to worry.
Regardless of wether you experience a euphoria or not, the time period for depression relief remains 3-5 hours.
Feel free to choose whichever method is most convenient for you. And remember, if you like one method more than the others, but it packs less of a punch, you can always slightly increase the dosage size, .5 – 1g would be an ideal increase.
If you have the time (and patience) or you’re just a huge fan of teas, this may be your preferred method of ingestion. Kratom teas taste similar to Matcha. They have a very bitter, earthy, dry, taste but can be incredibly relaxing.
Due to the mood boost, many people enjoy a cup of Green Malay tea in the morning to jumpstart the day. It can be compared to drinking a cup of joe in the morning plus the additional euphoric sensation.
To make kratom tea simply boil 2-4 cups of water and directly mix the Green Malay powder in the water. You’re going to have to stir viciously because kratom powder doesn’t mix too well with water but once you’re done you can sit back and relax.
Unfortunately, this form of consuming kratom is the weakest of all three (depending on how fast you drink your tea). So, if you’re looking to obtain stronger effects kratom tea may not be for you.
If you value conveniency over taste you may want to consider Green Malay Kratom capsules. You can avoid messy powders, accidental spills, and a very bitter taste.
The capsules are encapsulated in a pharmaceutical grade, clear vegetable cellulose capsule. It will take your body about 45 minutes to break down the capsules and for you to begin to experience the effects.
If I had to rate this form of consumption in terms of the strength of the euphoria, I would say this is stronger than kratom tea but weaker than the toss and wash method which we’re going to go over next.
Toss and Wash
This is my preferred method of ingestion because it packs the biggest euphoric punch. If you can stomach the bitter taste and a mouthful of powder I highly recommend it.
The depression relief is astounding and it will only take you about 10 to 15 minutes to begin feeling the effects. However, it’ll take about 30 to 45 minutes to feel the euphoria.
To correctly perform the toss and wash follow these steps:
- Fill a spoon with your desired amount of Green Malay powder
- Say a quick prayer
- Take the spoonful
- Drink water but make sure not to let any air in your mouth or you’ll have a cough attack.
- Swirl the water and powder in your mouth and swallow e
It’s absolutely normal to make the same face you used to make when eating Sour Head candies as a kid. But once that bitterness is gone and the depression relief begins you’ll be happy you to chose this method.
Summing it Up
Green Malay is indeed a great way to relieve your depression symptoms. In fact, its one of the best kratom strains on the market for depression.
If you’re new to Green Malay or kratom in general, choose your dosage carefully and make sure not to exceed the suggested amount.
Choose the method that best suits your need.
- Capsules for conveniency
- Tea for flavor and if time is not an issue
- Toss and Wash for strength and quick effects
