Your Guide to Red Indo Kratom: Effects, Dosages, and More

indo kratom

An often overlooked red strain, Red Indo Kratom has the potential to be an amazing relaxer, de-stressor, and pain reliever to those who use it. In this review, I’ll be going over everything you need to know about Red Vein Indo Kratom.

Red Indo Kratom is a red strain that comes from the deep forests of Indonesia. Known for its analgesic and sedative effects, it’s a good strain for calming the overall body and mind. People with certain chronic pain and anxiety can benefit from this strain.

Curious to know more about this low-key strain? Keep on reading!

What is Red Indo Kratom Good For?

Red Indo Kratom is used for many different things. I’ve personally used this strain for muscle aches and pain I get from going too hard at the gym.

But, it’s used for plenty of other reasons. I’ve recently talked to some kratom customers about their uses for Red Indo Kratom. Here’s a quick list I gathered from these Red Indo Kratom users:

  • Chronic Pain

Tons of people use red kratom strains for chronic pain and ailments. A lot of Red Indo

customers tell me that it helps them with back pain, osteoporosis, fibromyalgia, arthritis,

headaches, joint pain, and chronic pain from past surgeries and illnesses.

The list goes on. But they typically take a higher dosage when they have more pain.

Like I said, I’ve used this strain for my backaches and I did notice it has helped better

manage the pain than if I wasn’t taking anything at all.

  • Opioid Withdrawal

Red Vein Indo Kratom is also used for opiate withdrawals. Tons of people switch to

kratom because it provides similar effects to opioids. It is a lot safer than those harder

drugs and doesn’t typically cause addiction.

Those who have come off opioids tell me that Red Indo Kratom gives them a sense of relaxation and suppresses their appetite for other drugs.

I think this can be an awesome strain if you’ve just come off of harder drugs and are looking for a proper substitute, without the long term negative effects.

  • Better Sleep

Red Kratom strains can be amazing at getting better sleep. It’s yet another reason why

people like red strains like kratom Red Indo.

I didn’t find that Red Indo was the best for getting better sleep, but everyone is different.

Red strains in general cause sedation and sometimes, larger amounts can make you

feel drowsy and ready to knock out.

You can try a moderate dosage a few hours before bed to relax your body and mind so

that it better prepares you to fall asleep

  • Recreational Use

Sometimes, it’s nice to take a break from the hectic, everyday life and unwind a little.

Red Indo Kratom can always be a great way to just chill out and enjoy yourself.

What I like about kratom is that it isn’t like smoking weed or doing other drugs. It can provide similar effects with little to no repercussions.

If you’re looking to come off drugs or need to take a break from weed because of your

job, you can try Red Indo for similar relaxation and recreational usage.

Effects of Red Indo Kratom

Red Indo Kratom’s effects usually kick in within 15-30 minutes depending on how you take it. After taking it, I found the effects to last for about 3 hours.

The effects of Red Indo Kratom are desirable, but I found it to be alright in some areas and great in others.

Let’s go over what these effects are and my personal input on how well it performs for some of these outcomes:

  • Sedative

I found it to be sedative but not too much like other red strains. It won’t make you feel like you want to fall asleep immediately, but at higher doses and can be very sedative for some.

In order to get this effect, I recommend you start with a mild to moderate dosage. You can increase by half a gram an hour later if you’re not feeling anything.

Just a heads up, it’s not going to be sedative for everyone. It’s best to slowly increase to see if it gives you energy or is super relaxing.

  • Relaxes Body and Mind

Red Vein Indo can be really amazing for relaxation. That’s one of this strains best qualities, hands down.

When I last took Red Indo Kratom, I felt really calm. It felt like a clean relaxing red strain to me, but it wasn’t too relaxing to the point that I couldn’t get things done.

Overall, it’s good for relaxing your mind and body.

  • Pain Relief

As I mentioned, it can be pretty good for pain relief.

I’m going to say it’s good for more mild pain relief. I don’t think this is the best for intense pain. There’s other strains out there that do a much better job at relieving pain, such as Red Sumatra.

If you want a red strain that can provide mild to moderate pain relief without being overly sedative, this one might be a good fit.

  • Reduces stress, anxiety, and mild depression

Too many people suffer from anxiety and depression. It’s a lot more common and people look for ways to help manage these.

I get hit with anxiety from time to time and kratom has always been a saving grace for me. It helps get me out of a rut and keeps my anxiety levels low.

Red Indo is a great option to help reduce anxiety and mild depression. The right amount can have you feeling optimistic and great.

  • Increased Energy/Stimulation for Some

Surprisingly, some people feel a bit of energy and stimulation from this strain.

I didn’t experience this intense stimulation, but this tells me that Red Indo isn’t your typical red strain.

It’s very similar to a green strain, with slight energy and slight pain relief.

What is Red Indo Kratom?

Red Indo Kratom is a red vein strain that is cultivated and found in the forests of Indonesia.

Indonesia, along with other Southeast Asian countries, provide the best kratom strains in the world. Their kratom often contains high amounts of alkaloids, such as mitragynine, which are what gives kratom their potency.

Why, so? It all comes down to the climate and soil that these kratom trees grow in. Indonesia has a moist, tropical climate that helps the kratom leaves thrive.

Indonesians are awesome kratom growers and farmers, making this strain high-quality.

Capsules and Powder

With kratom’s market growing and expanding all over the world because of its popularity, they’ve come up with different methods you can enjoy kratom in.

The two most popular ways are kratom powder and capsules. There’s good and bad things about both.

Let’s take a look at the pros and cons of each.

Powder

Kratom powder is the most popular way to take kratom. It’s what I use the most.

Pros:

  • Versatile – Can make it into kratom teas, put it in smoothies, cook with it, or take it directly in your mouth and wash it down with water.
  • Affordable –  You can buy a hefty amount for a great price.
  • Can Measure it Yourself – You can control an exact amount that you want to take.

Cons:

  • Messy – The powder goes all over the place. You can’t carry it with you everywhere because it’s not as convenient.
  • Very bitter- This is a huge downside. It can be super bitter, making it harder to enjoy the process

Capsules

This is becoming more and more popular. Here’s why:

Pros:

  • It’s measured out for you- No need to get your scale or spoon out.
  • Easy to take- You just take a few of these and take it with water. No need to make it into a tea.
  • Can carry it everywhere.
  • No bitter taste!

Cons:

  • Can’t measure out an exact amount.
  • Takes a little longer to break down because of the capsule.
  • It’s a bit more expensive.

Whatever you choose, it all comes down to personal preference and your budget for kratom.

How Much Kratom to Take

You might be wondering how much Red Indo kratom to take for the first time. I always recommend starting any strain with about 1.5-2 grams. This is a good starting point.

You can always increase slowly each day with about 0.5-1 gram until you reach your desired effects.

The best effects are usually felt within the 2.5-5 gram range. Of course, this is going to depend on your weight, gender, tolerance, and if you have food in your system.

Some people benefit from taking more than 5 grams, but it’s not recommended if you’re new to kratom.

Red Indo Kratom Dosages (Grams)
Beginners: 1.5-2 grams

Moderate: 2.5-5 grams
Strong: 5-8 grams
Very Strong 8-10 grams

Reddit Reviews for Red Indo Kratom

Red Indo is often overlooked by some of its other, popular red strain brothers. For that reason, I didn’t find too many reviews for it.

But, I did find some mixed reviews on Reddit:

I <3 <3 <3 indos – red or green or a mix. I don’t know why but it is the only strain that is consistently relaxing for me.” -DoTownForever

“Obtained sample of Indo Red Vein, what I thought was supposed to be one of the more relaxing-sedating strains. I first started with 2 teaspoons = approx 10 grams, but was feeling a little too speedy.” -Dustov

Seems like Red Indo varies a lot in terms of effects.

Red Indo Kratom Vs Green Malay Kratom for Insomnia

You might be wondering which is better for insomnia, Red Vein Indo kratom or Super Green Malay?

Honestly, I’d stick to Green Malay to get better sleep. I’ve talked to tons of people that say Green Malay was more sedative and strong that Red Indo.

I did notice I had slight energy with Red Indo, which is why I felt it leaned more towards a green strain. But, Green Malay can be more sedative than other green strains.

It’s going to depend on your body and where you get your kratom from. I recommend you try both to see which one works best.

Getting Kratom Online

You can buy Red Indo Kratom online for cheap! I always get mine online because it’s so convenient and easy.

Places like Kratom Krush, and other online stores, offer free shipping and amazing deals

Just be sure to check if you’re able to have it shipped legally to your state, as some states haven’t legalized kratom yet.
